Abhishek Lodha and Abhinandan Lodha have officially settled their trademark dispute, bringing an end to all outstanding legal and business disagreements. Under the resolution, Abhishek Lodha-led Macrotech Developers retains exclusive rights to the brand names ‘Lodha’ and ‘Lodha Group’. Meanwhile, Abhinandan Lodha will exclusively use the brand name ‘House of Abhinandan Lodha’ (HoABL) for his ventures. The two entities are now entirely independent, with no cross-ownership or claims in each other's businesses, and will actively communicate this separation to the public. The dispute escalated in early 2025 when Macrotech Developers filed a petition in the Bombay High Court to prevent Abhinandan from using the Lodha name, citing violations of a 2017 family settlement and a 2023 agreement. Abhinandan, who separated from the Lodha Group in 2015, founded HoABL and was alleged to have used the ‘Lodha’ name in breach of these agreements. With the new settlement, both parties have clarified brand rights, ensuring distinct identities moving forward.
