Ajay Devgn returns as the fearless IRS officer Amay Patnaik in Raid 2, taking on a new and more dangerous enemy—Riteish Deshmukh’s Dada Manohar Bhai, a man so powerful he’s said to run the state more than the Chief Minister. The trailer opens with tension and swagger as Patnaik reminds Bhai’s men of the strength of the law and his unwavering belief in justice. After successfully jailing Rameshwar Singh in the 2018 hit Raid, Patnaik now faces a deeper nexus of corruption. Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, Raid 2 dives into the gritty underworld of politics, crime, and moral conviction. With lines that echo epic rivalries—“I am not just the Pandavas, I am the entire Mahabharat”—Devgn delivers a powerhouse performance, setting the stage for an intense showdown. Riteish Deshmukh makes a striking antagonist, and their face-off promises high-octane drama. The film stars Vaani Kapoor as the female lead, along with Rajat Kapoor, Supriya Pathak, Saurabh Shukla, and Amit Sial. Backed by powerful music from composers like Amit Trivedi, Yo Yo Honey Singh, and more, and gripping visuals by Sudhir Kumar Chaudhary, Raid 2 releases on May 1, aligning with International Workers’ Day.
