Bharti Airtel has partnered with Blinkit to offer 10-minute SIM card delivery in 16 cities across India, marking a first-of-its-kind initiative by an Indian telecom provider. Customers can order prepaid, postpaid, or port-in Airtel SIM cards directly to their doorstep via Blinkit for a convenience fee of ₹49. Once delivered, SIM cards can be activated using an Aadhaar-based KYC process, with support available through an online link, instructional video, the Airtel Thanks app, and a dedicated helpline. To remain valid, SIM cards must be activated within 15 days of delivery. This initiative is currently live in Delhi, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Sonipat, Ahmedabad, Surat, Chennai, Bhopal, Indore, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Lucknow, Jaipur, Kolkata, and Hyderabad, with plans to expand to more cities. Siddharth Sharma of Airtel emphasized that this move is aimed at simplifying customer experiences, while Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa highlighted the partnership’s focus on convenience and speed in SIM delivery and activation.
